Here’s a good look at Street Fighter 6’s next DLC character, A.K.I.

Rashid was released as a DLC combatant in Street Fighter 6 not too long ago. As such, A.K.I. is the next DLC character that’s slated to be released sometime in fall 2023.

It’s expected that we’ll get a gameplay trailer featuring A.K.I. on the finals day of Evo 2023. Before then, however, we have the opportunity to get a good look at A.K.I. and snippets of her personality via an exclusive UDON comic available at the big event.

During the story within the comic, it’s quite clear that A.K.I. is intending to kill Rashid as A.K.I. suspects that it would make her master proud of her. Based on what we know about A.K.I., her master is very likely F.A.N.G from Street Fighter 5.

A.K.I. attempts to inject Rashid with poison, but Rashid appears to be the better fighter as A.K.I. isn’t able to land any blows. Eventually, A.K.I. attempts to surprise Rashid by splashing some poison on him. This seems to imply that A.K.I. will have a projectile in Street Fighter 6.

While attacking Rashid, A.K.I. has an absolutely deranged look on her face. However, she ends up in a position where Rashid has to save her. By grabbing her hand, A.K.I. technically had an opportunity to inject Rashid and accomplish her goal, but chooses not to.

The fight ends with Rashid praising A.K.I.’s fighting style while being disapproving of the usage of poison. Rashid doesn’t seem to be able to put two-and-two together and realize that A.K.I. was trying to kill him. His distaste for the usage of poison is likely due to how F.A.N.G killed Rashid’s friend during the events of Street Fighter 5.

As for A.K.I., she comes to the conclusion that she could kill Rashid at anytime, but decides to let him live for a bit longer. She probably doesn’t want to admit it, but this implies that she’s showing gratitude for the rescue.
